Doing good needs no ad budget.
Donation appeals, animal shelters, food banks, blood drives, the fire brigade looking for volunteers: we show charitable causes on NEXEARTH screens free of charge. Targeted to your region – in waiting rooms, shops, cafés and lobbies, where people wait and meet.
To be honest: NEXEARTH is a preview and the name a working title. There are no accepted charitable ads yet – the examples on this page are invented and marked “Demo”.
How Gemeinwohl works
- Free, always
- An accepted charitable ad costs you nothing – not now and not later. No price, no commission, no small print. We do not take donations either: the QR code leads straight to your page.
- Targeted to your region
- You name a city, a district or a place with a radius. The ad only plays on screens there. A shelter in Heidelberg appears in Heidelberg, not in Hamburg.
- A fixed place in every loop
- Every Spot screen keeps a small part of its air time for Gemeinwohl – at least one ad per loop, even when it is fully booked. The causes of a region take turns. Operators can switch Gemeinwohl air time off for their screen; it is on from the start.
- Labelled honestly
- The screen says “Ad” and, beside it, “Charitable · free of charge”. Scanning the QR code at the edge shows who is behind it.
What it looks like on screen
Warm, calm and readable from three to five metres. No pity pictures: a drawn motif stands for the cause, the words say what helps.
What we show
Anything that helps a region and sells nothing to anyone. For example:
- Donation appeal
- Registered charities with proof only; what the money is for is stated concretely.
- Help for people in need
- Only through a recognised organisation or a verified platform and with the consent of the people concerned – never as a private collection.
- Local institution
- Food bank, hospice, youth services, homeless aid, women's shelter … – a women's shelter never shows its address.
- Animal looks for a home
- Animal shelters and registered animal-welfare associations only – no sale, no price, adoption with a protection contract.
- Foster home for animals
- Shelters and animal-welfare associations only; who pays food and vet is stated.
- Missing animal
- Through the shelter or association, so no private phone numbers appear on screen.
- Blood drive
- Blood services and hospitals only; full date and place, no health promises.
- Stem-cell donor registration
- Non-profit donor registries only; who can register is stated.
- Volunteers wanted
- Volunteer fire brigade, THW, neighbourhood help, food bank … – unpaid help, not a job ad.
- Donations in kind
- After floods and other disasters only what is really needed – with a drop-off point and a period.
- Cold aid
- In winter: sleeping bags, warm clothing, the city's cold-bus number – without pictures of the people concerned.
- Food rescue
- Community fridges, food banks, food savers – no sale, no donor brands.
- Help line
- Information only: the operator's official number, checked; never counselling on screen.
- First aid & defibrillator
- Courses, defibrillator locations, first-responder apps – from aid organisations or the city.
Who can apply
Organisations that can prove their charitable status or their public mandate:
- Registered charity, foundation or non-profit company
- Recognised aid organisation or welfare association
- Animal shelter or registered animal-welfare association
- Public institution (city, district, school, hospital)
- Verified fundraising platform (people in need only)
People in need are only shown through such an organisation or a verified fundraising platform – and only with their consent. We cannot check private appeals, so we do not show them.
What we do not show
- Parties, election campaigns, petitions and political campaigns
- Proselytising and calls to convert (a church-run food bank is welcome)
- Sales, discounts or offers dressed up as a good cause
- Private fundraising appeals we cannot check
- Pressure, guilt and pity pictures – and anything against the Spot rules
What goes in your email
No form, no account: send us an email. The button opens your mail app with a template you only have to fill in.
- Organisation and contact person – name, role, email
- Proof of charitable status – e.g. the tax office's exemption notice or the register of associations; for public institutions the body responsible
- Your cause and the text – a short headline, one or two sentences, up to three concrete ways to help
- A picture if you like – with the image rights and, if people are shown, their consent. Without one we draw a calm motif
- The link for the QR code – donation page, appointment booking or info page
- Your region – city, district or place with a radius in kilometres
- The period – from when to when; for dates the day, time and place
Rather write yourself? The address is a.joltea@me.com.
Please do not send us health data or details about individual people that should not be on screen. We only use your details to review the application and to show the ad. Privacy policy
What happens next
- We check the proof and the content against the Spot rules.
- We reply by email – with questions, a preview of your ad or a refusal with the reason.
- Accepted: we schedule the ad for your region and period. You can change or end it any time by email.
There is no entitlement to be accepted or to particular air times. Accepted charitable ads always stay free.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. We charge nothing for accepted charitable ads, not later either. Every price the system would compute for them is zero.
Why does it still say “Ad”?
Because it is your organisation's message and not our programme – viewers should be able to tell the two apart. Beside it, “Charitable · free of charge” makes clear that nobody paid for it.
How often will my ad play?
That depends on how many screens there are in your region and how many causes share the room there. Every screen shows at least one charitable ad per loop, and the causes take turns. We do not promise a fixed number of plays.
Are there screens in my region yet?
NEXEARTH is a preview. Whether and where there are screens, we tell you in our reply – honestly, even if there are none yet.
I am in need myself or collect for someone. Can I apply?
Not directly, sorry – we cannot check private appeals. Turn to a recognised organisation or a verified fundraising platform; through them we can show the appeal if the people concerned agree.
Does NEXEARTH collect donations?
No. We take no money and pass none on. The QR code leads straight to your own page.
Who decides what plays?
We review every application. Screen operators can switch Gemeinwohl air time off for their screen – it is on from the start.
